Influenced as much by feminism as Swiss typography, Lucienne graduated from London’s Central Saint Martins with a utopian zeal that has never left her. Lucienne studied at drama school, art school and is a University of London English Literature graduate – little wonder then that she is particularly interested in word-based design and the integration of 2- and 3-d.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

Teaching Method<\/h3> <\/summary>\n \n\n

As professor of ABK Stuttgart’s communication design department she advocates for change – challenging definitions of the field, encouraging a cross-disciplinary approach, vigilant about the role of the design in the wider world. ‘Designing communication is multi-skilled and can encompass many things‘, she says. ‘Our work delights, informs, persuades. It’s used by everyone. It can make people feel differently and behave differently – that’s why I believe it to be important.‘<\/p>\n

Likewise she prizes flexibility highly, originating projects that maximise the varied and diverse interests and skills each student brings.
