From tea ceremony to mindful retreat<\/p>\n

Tea plays a vital role in different cultures. From the type of tea leaves, tea roasting methods to artefacts that develop for tea drinking reflect the region’s topography and culture. In Japan, one of the highest cultural events is the tea ceremony. It is a proper way of preparing and drinking green tea, typically in a traditional tearoom with a tatami floor. The guest and the host have their own role and a set of movements to do in the ceremony. Everything is designed and well-ruled, including the way of looking and walking. Only some parameters are changeable: the tea set, the interior decorations, the outdoor scenery, and the participants’ thoughts. Therefore, the participants still perceive different experiences even doing the same thing in every tea ceremony. With this set of Space Wander audio guides, I will guide you through to experience different spaces. Like a tea ceremony, the guest follows the guideline of the host and goes through mindful retreatment. Through experiencing a space with all senses, you can create a channel to communicate between your surroundings and yourself.
