f&uuml;r den k&uuml;nstlichen Schlaf pr&auml;gt unterschiedliche kulturelle Anschauungen und nimmt dadurch einen direkten Einfluss auf die Praktiken der Narkose und somit das Hervorbringen von Produkten im medizinischen Kontext. Das gestalterische Paradigma der An&auml;sthesie steht dabei in einem direkten Zusammenhang zu kulturhistorischen Entwicklungen der Empfindungslosigkeit. Der zeitgen&ouml;ssische medizinische Kontext greift dabei auf ein umfangreiches materielles Erbe zur&uuml;ck, welches sich aus der paradigmatischen Haltung zum menschlichen K&ouml;rper, der Schmerzempfindung und dem Hospital gebildet hat.<br>\nDie &Auml;sthetik der An&auml;sthesie, das spannungsreiche Doppel der Wahrnehmung von Objekten in R&auml;umen der Nicht-Wahrnehmung, wird in drei Produkte &uuml;bertragen. Die entworfene Kollektion besteht aus Operationsleuchten, einem Nachttisch sowie Wandspiegeln. Jedes der entwickelten Produkte bezieht sich auf spezifische Ph&auml;nomene der An&auml;sthesie. Thematisch und formal bilden der Nachttisch, die Operationsleuchte und der Wandspiegel ein eigenst&auml;ndiges materielles Narrativ im Kontext der An&auml;sthesie. Der sterile dunkle Nachttisch steht dabei in einem starken Kontrast zu der strahlenden wei&szlig;en Operationsleuchte. Diese sinnliche Gegens&auml;tzlichkeit der An&auml;sthesie reicht dabei von der Leere &uuml;ber die Blendung hin zu einer flirrenden Reflektion des Wandspiegels. Der abstrakte Begriff der An&auml;sthesie materialisiert sich nach und nach und wird zu drei Produktk&ouml;rpern im Raum.<br>\nDie zusammengestellten gestalterischen Paradigmen greifen dabei neben dem inhaltlichen Kontext auch auf ph&auml;nomenologische Merkmale, wie Ohnmacht, Sterilit&auml;t und Fragmentierung zur&uuml;ck. Mit der gestalterischen Einbindung atmosph&auml;rischer Z&uuml;ge der An&auml;sthesie wird eine Haltung eingenommen, die verst&auml;rkt ber&uuml;cksichtigt, wie wir die Dinge mit unseren Sinnen wahrnehmen.<\/p>\n<p>Operationsleuchte.<br>\nVergleichbar mit einer Theaterb&uuml;hne wird im Operationssaal das Licht punktuell eingesetzt, um Bereiche gezielt hervorzuheben und f&uuml;r k&ouml;rperliche Eingriffe deutlich sichtbar zu machen. Die Lichtstrahlen fallen dabei geb&uuml;ndelt auf Patienten und schimmern zus&auml;tzlich auf den gr&uuml;nlichen Operationstextilien. Die moderne medizinische Szenografie zeichnet sich besonders durch eine neutralwei&szlig;e Lichtstimmung aus, welche in der gestalteten Operationsleuchte aufgegriffen wird. Die gestaltete Operationsleuchte geht auf diese &auml;sthetischen Ph&auml;nomene des Operationssaals ein und betrachtet zus&auml;tzlich die historische Entwicklung des Operationssaals als &ouml;ffentliches Theater genauer. Bei der Gestaltung wird auf technische Details, wie sterile Kunststoffe, wei&szlig;e Beschichtungen sowie lichtstarke Leuchtdioden geachtet, dadurch entsteht ein Hybrid aus medizinischer Beleuchtung und szenografischer Theaterbeleuchtung.<\/p>\n<p>Nachttisch.<br>\nUnser Alltag spielt sich zwischen Tag und Nacht, Licht und Schatten, der Erleuchtung sowie der Dunkelheit ab. Schlaf tritt als nat&uuml;rliche Narkose in unser Leben und f&uuml;hrt zu einem t&auml;glich wiederkehrenden Wahrnehmungsverlust. Dem Schlaf als t&auml;gliche Erholungspause haftet daher &auml;hnlich der Ohnmacht etwas Vages und Unheimliches an. W&auml;hrend des &Uuml;bergangs von der M&uuml;digkeit hin zum Schlaf scheint der K&ouml;rper schwerelos zu werden und sich im Nichts aufzul&ouml;sen. Dem Nachttisch kommt als Objekt eine besonders intime Rolle zu. Er begleitet uns auf dem Weg in den Schlaf und wartet auf uns, bis wir erwachen.<br>\nDas materielle Narrativ des dunklen karbonisierten Nachttisches steht im Zusammenhang mit der Entwicklung der h&ouml;lzernen Innenausstattung historischer Operationss&auml;le. Durch die Hitzebehandlung der Wei&szlig;tanne wird das Holz karbonisiert und dadurch sterilisiert. Neben dem dunklen rein &auml;sthetischen Erscheinungsbild wird durch das Shou Sugi Ban Verfahren eine antimikrobielle Oberfl&auml;che erzeugt.<\/p>\n<p>Wandspiegel.<br>\nDie historische Entwicklung der Methoden und die unterschiedlichen kulturellen Einstellungen zur An&auml;sthesie sind in Magie, Trance und Kult verborgen, nicht nur in der medizinischen Praxis. In der Geschichte der An&auml;sthesie hatten giftige Pflanzen etwas Magisches an sich. Die Metapher eines historischen Zaubergartens mit seinen sinnlichen Eigenschaften kann f&uuml;r die Gestaltung der fragmentarischen Spiegelfl&auml;che herangezogen werden.<br>\nDie konstituierte Realit&auml;t der klinischen Szenarien ist heute mit einer traumhaften materiellen Pr&auml;senz von hygienischen Edelstahloberfl&auml;chen sowie sch&uuml;tzenden Latexhandschuhen verbunden. Die im klinischen Kontext verwendeten zeitgen&ouml;ssischen Materialien schaffen eine magische Landschaft. Der entworfene Wandspiegel stellt dabei eine Reflexion dieses magischen Universums der An&auml;sthesie dar.
