An Reynisfjara Beach finden sich viele direkte Spuren vulkanischer Aktivit&auml;t. Gleichzeitig ist es ein Ort, an welchem die Elemente der isl&auml;ndischen Natur in spektakul&auml;rer Form aufeinandertreffen und der Charakter dieser eindr&uuml;cklich sp&uuml;rbar wird.<\/p>\n<p>Der Entwurf setzt sich mit den Elementen der isl&auml;ndischen Natur an diesem Ort auseinander und schafft Zug&auml;nge, um diese auch au&szlig;erhalb der visuellen Sinneswahrnehmung erleben zu k&ouml;nnen. An den jeweiligen Stellen, an welchen sich ein Element dieses Ortes besonders gut erleben l&auml;sst, sind sog. &raquo;Sinnesr&auml;ume&laquo; verortet: Skulpturale R&auml;ume, welche den Fokus der Sinneswahrnehmung auf ein Element lenken und daf&uuml;r auch bewusst andere Sinneswahrnehmungen reduzieren. Sie bieten einen gef&uuml;hrten Weg und bringen die Besucher:innen in direkten Kontakt mit den Elementen. Diese sind insbesondere in ihren taktilen, olfaktorischen oder akustischen Eigenschaften erlebbar.<\/p>\n<p>Das Hauptgeb&auml;ude des Besucherzentrum kn&uuml;pft in seiner Typologie an die historischen Langh&auml;user Islands an und ordnet seine R&auml;ume nach dem Prinzip der Gangh&auml;user. Gro&szlig;e und offene R&auml;ume definieren die Hauptnutzungen f&uuml;r Empfang und Ausstellung, Caf&eacute; und Bistro, sowie die hei&szlig;en Quellen. Zwischen den R&auml;umen reihen sich entlang der langen Seiten die Neben- und Funktionsr&auml;ume sowie R&uuml;ckzugbereiche aneinander. &Uuml;ber einen zentralen Gang werden alle R&auml;ume nach dem Ganghaus-Prinzip miteinander verbunden und alle &ouml;ffentlichen R&auml;ume in einer Bewegungslinie erschlossen.<\/p>\n<p>&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;&ndash;<\/p>\n<p>Ziel des Besucherzentrums ist es, innezuhalten, und sich &uuml;ber einen fokussierten Blick auf die einzelnen Elemente der Besonderheit dieses Orts bewusst zu werden. Die Sinnesr&auml;ume schaffen daf&uuml;r den n&ouml;tigen Rahmen. F&uuml;r blinde und sehbehinderte Menschen erm&ouml;glicht das Besucherzentrum einen gef&uuml;hrten und sicheren Besuch dieses Orts und eine intensive Auseinandersetzung mit den Elementen durch ein auf ihre Sinneswelt konzentriertes Erleben von Reynisfjara.
