Deregistration takes place<\/p>\n<ul class=\"simple\">\n<li>automatically<\/li>\n<li>or at the student&rsquo;s request.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n\n\n    <div class=\"block block-text\">\n        <div class=\"fs-text\">\n            \n<p>Withdrawal from your studies generally takes effect at the end of the semester in which it is issued. Upon application, it may be issued with immediate effect.<\/p>\n\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"block-bundle collapse-section\">\n    <summary class=\"block block-subsection-title\">\n        <h3>Automatic deregistration<\/h3>    <\/summary>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"block block-text\">\n        <div class=\"fs-text\">\n            \n<p>Automatic deregistration from the university is governed by the State Higher Education Act in accordance with Section 62.<\/p>\n<p>Students are automatically&nbsp;deregistered from theirs studies at the end of the current semester if<\/p>\n<ul class=\"simple\">\n<li>they have successfully completed their degree<\/li>\n<li>their admission has lapsed due to the loss of their entitlement to take exams for the degree programme in which they are enrolled (this is governed by the relevant study and examination regulations of ABK Stuttgart)<\/li>\n<li>re-registration for the following semester (payment of the semester fee and, where applicable, any further tuition fees) has not been completed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Automatic deregistration can subsequently be converted into deregistration upon application. To do so, please contact the Office of Student Affairs.<\/p>\n\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"block-bundle collapse-section\">\n    <summary class=\"block block-subsection-title\">\n        <h3>Deregistration upon application<\/h3>    <\/summary>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"block block-text\">\n        <div class=\"fs-text\">\n            \n<p>An application for deregistration may be submitted to the Office of Student Affairs at any time. De-registration normally takes place at the end of the semester. You may also deregister with immediate effect during the semester if there are special reasons, for example, to take up a job, to discontinue your studies, to transfer to another university, or if you have lost your right to sit examinations.<\/p>\n<p>If you deregister with immediate effect, you must hand in your student ID card to the Office of Student Affairs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abk-stuttgart.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/abk_Antrag-Exmatrikulation.pdf\">Application for Deregistration.pdf<\/a><\/p>\n\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"block-bundle collapse-section\">\n    <summary class=\"block block-subsection-title\">\n        <h3>Deregistration certificate<\/h3>    <\/summary>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"block block-text\">\n        <div class=\"fs-text\">\n            \n<p>Once you have been deregistered, a deregistration certificate will be generated in the <a href=\"https:\/\/campus.abk-stuttgart.de\/\">ABK Campus System<\/a>, which you should download and print out as soon as possible.
