Daniel Dendra, anOtherArchitect, Berlin: „Opensource and Architecture“
„anOtherArchitect“ is an internationally operating architecture and urban design studio based in Berlin established by Daniel Dendra in 2007. The practise focusses on sustainable design solutions with a strong emphasis on human centered design and digital fabrication methods offering a more social and economical approach to the clients needs.
Extending the ideas of anOtherArchitect as collaborative platform between architects and engineers Daniel co-founded the OpenSource design network „OpenSimSim“ in 2009. „OpenSimSim“ was selected by Kazuyo Sejima as part of the XII Architectural Biennale in Venice and ever since follow up collaborations such as the Cloudscap.es award, OpenJapan or the FutureCityLab were initiated by Daniel Dendra with different partners.
