Stefanie Schwarz: „Type in progress – an investigation how interactive type can be designed and used as a creative tool“
Beim 5th Meeting of Typography in Barcelos/Portugal präsentiert Stefanie Schwarz ihre Recherchen zum Thema „Interaktive Typografie“.
This year’s meeting takes it’s theme „UBIQUITOUS“ from the typography’s quality of existing almost everywhere in it’s different contexts and applications. The main objective is to stimulate the dissemination, reflection and discussion about typographic research and development on an international scale. The program includes the participation of researchers, practitioners, teachers and students and their investigations dedicated to typography.
Stefanie Schwarz‘ practice-based research project „Type in Progress“ explores different ways of type form making enabled by coding and how this can support the designer’s creative process. Moreover it discusses how interactive type applications can add to the final outcome by reflecting surrounding conditions and actions. 
Stefanie Schwarz ist seit 2012 Lehrerin für Typografie und Schriftgestaltung an der Kunstakademie Stuttgart.
