Vortrag und Diskussion: Séamus Kealy, Director Kunstverein Salzburg
Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart, Campus Weißenhof: Altbau, Raum 305 (2. Stock)
International curator and director Séamus Kealy speaks about key curatorial projects over the past ten years.
With a background as an artist, Séamus Kealy emerged in Canada as a leading curator during his role directing the Blackwood Gallery (University of Toronto), where he organised touring and award-winning exhibitions such as 18:Beckett and Signals in the Dark: Art in the Shadow of War. In 2008 he took up the role of Director/Curator of The Model, in Sligo, Ireland, where he transformed this west-coast art institution into a highly-charged hub for contemporary art. Since 2014, Séamus Kealy is Director of the Salzburger Kunstverein in Austria, where his award-winning exhibitions continue to receive international recognition, and his collaborative approach has spurred the contemporary art scene in Salzburg.
