Memorabilia, Sofia Mobilia
Inhalt
Having lived in three countries during the final years of my studies, I experienced many surprises and unexpected turns. Moments so unique, I could feel their significance the second they happened.
The square, with the potential for endless patterns, mirrors the flood of memories that gathers over a lifetime. Sharp and blurry photographs. Wishes and dreams. Steps in life taken forward or backward.
The viewers‘ shadows move across the chessboard, sometimes covering parts while others shift into focus, gaining a physical presence through the changing projection surface.
What stays forever? The analog snapshots I take from these fleeting moments. Little fragments of time I never want to forget, carrying all the feelings, energy, and atmosphere of that instant. The laughter of my friends I can hear in the distance, the taste of salty sea breeze on my tongue, and the clicking of an American crosswalk signal – such a distinct sound, as if I’d just pressed the button. Wait!
Will they fade away someday? Maybe. But for now, they remain – the memories of Sofia Mobilia.
