Communication design involves developing targeted strategies and implementing them creatively. Complex issues are translated into a visual language that can be understood immediately – from traditional print media to spatial design and digital applications. Communication designers create posters, flyers, books and magazines, develop corporate identities and design websites and apps. During their communication design studies, students develop their own creative personality. They acquire technical skills, theoretical knowledge and conceptual and artistic competencies in all relevant media. The programme focuses on book design, typography, corporate design, film and animation, photography, aesthetics, philosophy of design, illustration and screen-oriented design.
