Range of courses
Through the manual production of printed materials, students gain an overview of the wide range of bookbinding techniques. These range from the production of brochures and books, through special leaflet folds, folders and boxes/cases, to the design of packaging and advice on picture framing options.
Through practical work, students gain an understanding of the specific characteristics of post-press processes that need to be taken into account when designing printed materials.
The workshop is used by students from all disciplines. During the workshop months – and, by arrangement, during the semesters as well – courses are held to teach the basic skills required for the experimental use of materials and design.
Tailored project support by arrangement.
In the first semester of the foundation year, students on the Communication Design degree programme produce various types of brochures. In the fourth semester, a theory module (seminar/practical) takes place, culminating in a final examination (pre-diploma examination).
