As a university service provider, the Studierendenwerk Stuttgart has set itself the task of making students’ lives easier whilst they are studying, and of supporting and assisting them in financial, social and cultural matters.
Canteen and cafeteria
ABK Stuttgart canteen
Campus Weißenhof: Building E (Neubau 1)
The ABK canteen and cafeteria offer strictly vegetarian and vegan dishes.
In the cafeteria, visitors can enjoy freshly baked goods and sandwiches, sweet and savoury snacks, as well as hot and cold drinks.
At lunchtime, there are two dishes on offer every day, one of which is always the ‘Veganer Renner’. From Tuesday to Thursday, homemade pasta, wok dishes or bowls are prepared during live cooking sessions. The salad bar offers a daily selection of fresh vegetables and various dressings.

Legal advice
Studierendenwerk Stuttgart offers students who need advice and support with legal matters a free initial consultation.
Social counselling
We offer guidance and clarification to help you find solutions to social and financial problems. This may cover the following areas:
- general social counselling
- Support for international students
- Help in an emergency
- Help with all matters relating to children
- Arranging childcare places in our nurseries
- Support for students with disabilities and chronic illnesses
Housing
Studierendenwerk Stuttgart offers around 5,800 accommodation places in 31 student residences in Stuttgart, Ludwigsburg, Esslingen and Göppingen. In addition, the Vereinigung Stuttgarter Studentenwohnheime e.V. also offers places in student residences, for which you can apply.
Study financing
The Studierendenwerk provides advice on the various options for funding your studies and offers support with your BAföG application.
