Engine room
- Saws: panel saws, pull saws, board saws, band saws
- Planers: surface planer, thickness planer
- Milling: table router, stationary router
- Sanding: Wide-belt sander, long-belt sander, disc sander
- Drilling: Slotted hole drill, column drill
Bench area
- Workstations with hand tools and small machinery
Range of courses
- Advice, guidance and support with the design and construction of models and prototypes made from wood and wood-based materials on a 1:1 scale
- Theoretical lessons in the subject ‘Building Materials I’
- Introductory workshop courses/safety briefings for first-year students on the Architecture and Industrial Design degree programmes, as well as for students joining the Master’s programme in Architecture.
- Training in the use of woodworking machinery
- Information on machinery and wood-based materials
- Advice on timber joints, connecting fittings and functional fittings
- Through experiments with new materials and processing methods, the workshop manager imparts theoretical knowledge in the field of building materials science
