Studio for New Materials and Technologies
Inhalt
The Studio for New Materials and Technologies (Studio NM&T) forms the interface between textiles and technology, between traditional craft techniques and digital tools and manufacturing processes.
At Studio NM&T, activities include modelling, animation and programming; soldering, laser cutting and 3D printing; the development of reactive textiles; and the creation of both real and virtual fabric collections.
The studio opens up new areas of practice and research in textile design and offers numerous transdisciplinary links and synergies with other departments.
