Range of courses
Safety briefing
A prerequisite for any further work in the woodworking workshop.
Content: General safety instructions and conduct in the workshop, required PPE, fire safety and what to do in the event of an accident at work, materials science, introduction to the safe operation of woodworking machinery (one-day course, max. 4 participants)
Safety briefings and courses take place regularly during the lecture term and during workshop month. Registration and booking must be done in advance, either in person at the workshop or by email to Solveig Fröhling.
Individual project support
Once they have completed the safety induction and preliminary briefing, students can carry out their projects in the woodwork workshop under supervision.

- Woodturning course
Preparing woodturning blanks, the basics of longitudinal and transverse woodturning (min. 2 days, max. 1 participant) - Woodworking course
Introduction to veneer working (min. 2 days, max. 3 participants)
The workshop is open to all ABK students, provided they have completed the one-day safety induction in the woodworking workshop. Safety footwear must be worn in the woodworking workshop.
